Women BuildHabitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County's Women Build project provides the opportunity for women—of all ages, backgrounds and skill sets—to take a hands-on approach to solving the affordable housing crisis, by coming together—as volunteers and donors—and building a simple, decent home for a hard-working, low-income family in our area.
The mission of the Women Build is to nurture, recruit and train women to build simple, decent, and affordable houses.
At Women Build:
- Women will provide all labor and leadership—from framing to landscaping—in a supportive and empowering environment.
- Women will step out of their comfort zone, acquire new skills, make new friends and discover unexpected strengths.
- The vast volunteer pool of women in our area will mobilize—better equipping us to tackle the growing need for affordable housing across the region.
- The dream of affordable, sustainable homeownership will become a reality for one of the many area families in desperate need of stable housing for their children.
- Participants will make a lasting difference to themselves, to a partner family and to the community. It doesn't get any better than that.
